Join us for a special literary arts event with Chun Yu, a bilingual poet, graphic novelist, scientist, and translator. She is the author of the award-winning memoir Little Green: Growing Up During the Chinese Cultural Revolution (Simon & Schuster) and an in-progress graphic novel on Chinese history to be published by Macmillan. Yu will be joined in conversation by Mark Lipman.

Mark is the founder of the press VAGABOND and the Culver City Small Press Book Festival. A writer, poet, multi-media artist, and activist, he is the author of nine books and his work has also appeared in several notable international anthologies.

About the Author

Chun Yu, PhD, is a bilingual poet, graphic novelist, scientist, and translator. She is the author of the award-winning memoir in free verse Little Green: Growing Up During the Chinese Cultural Revolution (Simon & Schuster) and a graphic novel on Chinese history in progress (Macmillan). Her work is taught in world history and culture classes. She is a recipient of San Francisco Arts Commission grants for her poetry and graphic novel projects. She is an honoree of the 2020 YBCA 100 award (Yerba Buena Center for the Arts) for creative changemakers.
