The music collection is comprised of East German albums of children’s songs, folk and pop music, hip-hop mix tapes and players, fan-pages and clothing. It also holds the archive and papers of Volkmar Andrä, a music editor for AMIGA records from 1972 to 1996. The archive and papers of Andrä document the business of AMIGA records, the popular music division of VEB Deutsche Schallplatten, the GDR’s state-controlled record company.
